Anybody with access to your account can view archived orders but the order won’t appear by default (though it will still appear in “Buy It Again” until you do the “Improve Your Recommendations” procedure above). A few days later I receive both of my orders, no problem. I checked my bank account about a day after I’d placed the orders and the money was taken out as expected. The total came to over 400 but it was two separate orders.

Note that you can generally remove an order from casual view by navigating to your orders and choosing “Archive order” for any order. you’ve bought an item as a birthday or Christmas gift and don’t want other members of your family seeing this appear when they browse the website casually.
